What a wonderful surprise to walk into Josephs room last night and he was breathing on his own! The doctor switched him from nasal cannula to room air yesterday afternoon and he has not looked back since! Big boy has decided he is ready to come home as much as we are ready to have him home! Your prayers for no oxygen at home worked!! Look at this big guy loving life without those silly prongs up his nose. He is still on oxygen for bottle feeding right now, this prevents him from wasting energy breathing and he can concentrate more on eating. He is currently downing his 33ML bottles and loving it, I am hoping for another bottle to be added every 12 hours tomorrow or Wednesday. I feel like he can handle it and is ready to give it a try but we will see if the doctor agrees :). We will hopefully be moving to an open air crib within the next few days also, Joseph currently weighs 1690 grams or 3 pounds 12 ounce. That is only 4 ounces away from 4 pounds!! He blew us away last week with all his improvements and we are praying he has another amazing week, we are off to a great start! The eye doctor on Wednesday would be where our prayers are focused this week. We are praying for progress instead of regression in his eyes. I will keep you updated on what the eye doctor says. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement, they are priceless. We love sharing Jospeh’s story with others, he is a true miracle baby and we give God all the glory for his little life. He will move mountains in his life, I am sure of it. Thank you for being part of his story, we are blown away by your love for him and our family! You all are awesome!
Gosh, he’s sooo cuuuuuuute! What a miracle baby!
“What do you want Me to do for you?’ Jesus asked. ‘Lord,’ they answered, ‘we want our sight.’ Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.” Matthew 20:32,33
Praying with you that God will have compassion on Joseph, that he might see, and follow Him!
